The weather was unusually cool for this time of year, by now we normally have some nicer days with more sun breaks. This time it was rainy & windy and we experienced 63 mph sustained winds when we travel to Newport for the day. It was about a 60 mile round trip and we struggled with the weather all the way there and back. Once we got there, the main tourist shops were closing in 4- minutes! Which was just enough time for me to slip in and buy a new leather purse!!

So after our whole 5-minute downtown Newport tour, we headed back, stopped at the redbox & rented a couple of movies and hunkered down for the nights storm.

One night Wes & Joe went to see the new Star Trek movie, so the 3 dogs and I headed to the beach to watch and photograph the sunset. Fortunatley, it was a non rainy evening (until the sun went down).

We fed the Sea Gulls.

And watched the beautiful colors of the clouds as they sun faded into the sunset.
